This project is about the fuzzing, or rather, the muffling, of everyday objects. Molding wool around them, I transform them into silent felt objects, obscuring their usual function by the blurring of their acoustic identity. Sixty objects or so have been « isolated » in this way, and then strung together in space as words would be, forming disorderly sentences imbued with poetic or surrealistic meanings. Sounds of falling objects burst intermittently, sometimes startling the visitor.
